Ryan Reynolds is the Canadian actor behind Deadpool who has spent the past several years selling brands he helped market. On Ryan Reynolds net worth, none of the established wealth trackers (Forbes, the Bloomberg index, Britain’s annual Rich List) had assigned Reynolds a figure as of October 2026, so any single figure you see elsewhere lacks a reputable source. What the record does show is large annual earnings and two company sales, Aviation Gin and Mint Mobile, in which he held minority stakes.
Where it stands: Diageo, which bought Aviation Gin in 2020, said in its fiscal 2026 results published in August that the gin brand was now “fully impaired” on its books after two years of write-downs. Reynolds kept a stake in Aviation after that sale, Diageo said at the time.

Who is Ryan Reynolds?
Reynolds is an actor, producer and writer who also works as a marketer. His employer, the ad-tech company MNTN, says on its leadership page that he began acting in 1991 and broke through on the sitcom Two Guys, A Girl and a Pizza Place. The same page lists him as an owner of Aviation Gin, Mint Mobile and Wrexham, and a co-founder of Maximum Effort, a production and marketing firm.
He is MNTN’s chief creative officer. According to a Wall Street Journal report carried by Fox Business, MNTN bought Maximum Effort in 2021.
How Ryan Reynolds makes money
His income has two engines: big film paydays and equity in consumer brands he promotes. Forbes’s annual lists give the film side.
- 2020: The Forbes profile shows $71.5M in earnings, with an estimated $48.5 million from two Netflix projects alone.
- 2024: Forbes ranked him second among actors with $100 million, according to a Tribune News Service report. Most of it reportedly came from producing, co-writing and starring in Deadpool & Wolverine, which grossed $1.338 billion worldwide.
These are earnings for a single year, before taxes and fees. Net worth, by contrast, is everything a person owns minus debts, and it builds only from what is kept and invested.
Ryan Reynolds’ businesses: Aviation Gin, Mint Mobile and Wrexham
He bought all three of his best-known stakes after he was already a film star.
Aviation American Gin
He bought into the gin in 2018, the WSJ reported. In August 2020, Diageo announced it would pay up to $610 million for Aviation and its parent, Davos Brands: $335 million up front and up to $275 million more tied to Aviation’s performance over ten years. Diageo called him a co-owner who would keep an ongoing interest. His share of the price was not disclosed.
The brand later lost value for Diageo. Its fiscal 2026 results recorded a $231 million impairment on Aviation for the year to June 2025 and another $44 million for the year to June 2026, citing softer category trends, and said the brand was now fully impaired. An impairment is an accounting write-down when an asset is judged to be worth less than its book value.
Mint Mobile
He took a stake in Mint in 2019. In March 2023, T-Mobile agreed to buy Mint’s parent, Ka’ena, for up to $1.35 billion, paid 39% in cash and 61% in stock, Fortune reported. Fortune estimated his stake at 25%; The Hollywood Reporter said 20 to 25 percent and wrote that it implied “a low nine-figure payday,” while noting it was not clear how much he would personally receive. The deal closed in May 2024, according to Android Central. Our profile of George Clooney covers a similar celebrity-brand exit in tequila.
Wrexham
He co-owns the Welsh club Wrexham and produced the documentary series Welcome to Wrexham about it, the Tribune report noted. No purchase price or current valuation for his share has been reported by the outlets we reviewed, so we do not assign it a value.
Ryan Reynolds net worth: what the estimates say
Reputable estimates simply do not exist yet. Forbes measures his annual pay, yet none of the major trackers we checked had attached a wealth figure to his name by late October 2026.
| What is documented | Figure and source |
|---|---|
| 2020 earnings | $71.5M (Forbes) |
| 2024 earnings | $100 million (Forbes, via TNS) |
| Aviation sale, total | Up to $610 million (Diageo) |
| Mint sale, total | Up to $1.35 billion (T-Mobile, via Fortune) |
| His Mint stake | Reported at 20 to 25 percent; not disclosed |
None of these can be added together into a fortune. The deal values are what buyers paid for whole companies, shared among all owners, and partly contingent on later performance. The earnings figures are pretax and do not show spending, taxes or investments. That is why we report no total.

Recent news
The latest financial news tied to him came from Diageo’s books, not his own: the August 2026 results in which the gin brand was declared fully impaired. Mint, meanwhile, now operates inside T-Mobile, where he stayed on in a creative role after the 2024 closing.
