Kai Cenat’s Charity Fund Growth and His Own Net Worth

See how Kai Cenat's $1.13M school fund, Yaba move, and $35M-$45M net worth fit together today.

Kai Cenat's Nigeria school fund holds about $1.13 million toward a $5 million goal. His own net worth is estimated at $35 million to $45 million in 2026. The school effort started with a March 2024 visit to Makoko Children Development Foundation School and Orphanage in Lagos. That visit grew into a foundation-led building plan backed by his Mafiathon 3 streaming revenue.

How did the school fund grow?

Cenat visited the Makoko school after seeing more than 300 students crowded into very limited space. He pledged help for the pupils and staff. As AfroTech explained in its breakdown of the $5 million school project, he expanded that pledge into a new-school plan through the Kai Cenat Foundation.

The stated target is a $5 million investment to reach the first day of class. Dexerto detailed the progress in its account of the foundation receipts, with about $1.13 million held for the school. That total includes his personal $128,579 donation for computers and about $95,000 for legal and partner fees.

Why move the site to Yaba?

The planned site moved from Makoko to nearby Yaba in Lagos. Makoko's waterways, stilts and floating structures complicated construction.

Pupils from Makoko will attend free. Pupils from outside will pay tuition. That model keeps the original promise while giving the school operating income.

How does Mafiathon 3 support the school?

Mafiathon 3 is a month-long Twitch subathon built around paid subscriptions. Cenat pledged 15% of its revenue to the Nigeria school fund. Education partner Enko Education and Nigerian firm Banwo & Ighodalo handle construction, curriculum and staffing.

The event also set a platform record. As AfroTech reported in its coverage of the million-subscriber milestone, Cenat became the first Twitch streamer to pass 1 million active paid subscribers. He reached the mark in about 27 days during September 2025.

What supports his personal net worth?

Capital XTRA placed his 2026 wealth in its updated 2026 net-worth estimate at $35 million to $45 million. The income mix includes Twitch subscriptions, YouTube, Nike and McDonald's deals, Streamer University and Vivet fashion.

Those figures are third-party estimates, not audited disclosures. GuideNetWorth notes the same $35M–$45M range and says early growth from about $9,000 in 2019 cannot be independently verified. Readers should track the foundation balance separately from personal wealth estimates.
