Ninja is Tyler Blevins, the Fortnite streamer whose 2019 jump from Twitch to Microsoft’s Mixer set off the streaming industry’s bidding wars. On Ninja net worth, none of the big wealth trackers (Forbes, Bloomberg’s index, the Sunday Times list) has priced his fortune as of October 2026; what exists are reported contract values and his own past statements about income. Those are real numbers, but they measure money coming in, not what he holds today.
Where it stands: In April 2026 Dexerto reported that Blevins was taking an indefinite break from broadcasting, citing cheating problems in Arc Raiders, the game he had been streaming. He remains GameSquare’s chief innovation officer, a role the company announced in 2023.

Who is Ninja?
Blevins is a former professional Halo player, as Dexerto describes him, who became the most-followed creator on Twitch during Fortnite’s boom. He has said his streaming career began with Halo, according to Tubefilter, which counted 14.7 million Twitch followers when he left for Mixer in 2019. GameSquare’s 2023 announcement notes he was named one of TIME’s 100 most influential people of 2019.
How Ninja got famous: Fortnite, Mixer and back to Twitch
His fame peaked with Fortnite, and his largest reported deal was the Mixer contract.
- 2018, the Twitch peak. Tubefilter reported he made $500,000 per month on Twitch that year while streaming more than 3,800 hours.
- August 2019, Mixer. He signed to stream exclusively on Microsoft’s Mixer. In January 2020, CNN Business reported the multiyear deal was worth $20 million to $30 million, citing Justin Warden, CEO of the agency Ader, Bleacher Report summarized.
- June 2020, the buyout. Microsoft closed Mixer. Esports consultant Rod Breslau told Video Games Chronicle that Blevins made about $30 million from Mixer buying out his contract. Microsoft confirmed to Business Insider only that he had received his full payout.
- September 2020, Twitch again. He signed a multi-year exclusive Twitch deal with undisclosed terms, Tubefilter reported, after reportedly turning down Facebook Gaming.
- 2022, everywhere at once. He began simulcasting on YouTube, TikTok and other platforms, Tubefilter reported.
The Mixer figure deserves a caveat. VGC also wrote that Microsoft reportedly paid around $50 million to lure him, a higher number than CNN’s. No figure was officially confirmed in the coverage cited here, so both remain “reported,” and they conflict.
How Ninja makes money
Blevins earns from platform deals, sponsorships and licensed products. The one income figure attributed to Blevins himself: Bleacher Report, citing CNN Business, said he had previously reported making about $10 million in 2018.
His licensing and endorsement deals are documented, though values were not disclosed:
- A three-book deal with Penguin Random House, plus signature headbands sold at Walmart (Tubefilter).
- A multiyear Adidas partnership that made him the brand’s first pro gamer partner (Tubefilter).
- His own Fortnite skin in Epic Games’ Icon Series, launched in 2020 (Tubefilter).
Ninja’s business role at GameSquare
Since February 2023 Blevins has been chief innovation officer of GameSquare, a publicly traded gaming and esports company. Its press release said he would run Ninja Labs, an incubator for products aimed at youth culture. The release did not disclose his pay or any equity, so his financial stake in the company is not public.
Ninja net worth: what the estimates say
Put simply, no reputable estimate exists. We found no Forbes, Bloomberg Billionaires Index or Sunday Times Rich List figure for Blevins, and no major outlet reporting its own calculation.
The gap matters because the reported numbers are easy to misread. Earnings are money received in a period; net worth is what someone owns minus debts at a point in time. A reported $20 million to $30 million contract spread over several years, before taxes, agent fees and costs, is not the same as $20 million to $30 million in the bank, and nobody outside his business knows what he has spent, saved or invested.

Recent Ninja news
His audience has shrunk from its peak, by his own account. He told the BBC in 2025, as quoted by Dexerto, “I think I’m the only streamer on the planet who was pulling 100,000 viewers [per stream] consistently, but now I get like seven or eight thousand across Twitch and YouTube.” That September, Dexerto reported Kai Cenat passed him in Twitch followers, with Blevins at about 19.23 million. In April 2026 he announced an indefinite streaming break over Arc Raiders cheating, Dexerto reported.
